HORMONE FRIENDLY WORKOUT TIPS

Today I wanted to talk about how I workout based on my cycle!

This is something I got into a few years ago when I was working on healing my hormones and relationship with food. Every month I die from my period cramps and tailoring my workouts to my hormones has made such a difference in supporting my body!

I'm all about working with our bodies and adjusting our workouts to our lifestyles as women. Here's the loose structure I follow:

MENSTRUAL

Soft & Gentle, Restorative Pilates, Walks, Stretching


FOLLICULAR

Dynamic Pilates, Standing Pilates


OVULATORY

Strong Pilates, Cardio Pilates, Pilates Circuits, Jump Rope & Pilates


LUTEAL

Dynamic Pilates, Reformer On The Mat


One of the reasons I love Pilates so much is that it's beneficial for every phase of our cycles. It's a method of movement that helps us to tune into our bodies, strengthen mind to muscle connection, and doesn't elevate our cortisol (aka adding stress to our bodies if we live an already stressful lifestyle). I have a few projects that I'm working on to help you do just that coming out soon that I'm so excited about!
