Send This to a Man Who Thinks Pilates is Easy

Yes, it’s harder than it looks (as you know) and yes, you’ll love watching him find that out.

Have you scrolled past those viral videos? NFL players, elite soccer teams, even gym guys, all of them shaking and sweating while trying a Pilates session? They thought it was "just stretching." They thought it looked "too easy." As women, we know it’s challenging. But it’s not just for women. It’s a full-body workout that challenges strength, balance, flexibility, and focus.

For years, Pilates has been stereotyped as a gentle, graceful workout reserved for women. But men are finally discovering Pilates, and their surprised, humbled reactions are what we’ve been telling them for years. It is a workout that will have you shaking.

The Moves Look Effortless. Until You Try. (Pure Fire.)

It's the small, mindful movements, the controlled resistance, and the deep, intrinsic engagement that create that coveted "sculpt and tone." And it’s precisely why so many men are caught off guard. They walk in expecting a walk in the park and leave feeling sore all over.

So, let’s challenge the men in our lives. Your boyfriend, your husband, your brother, your best friend, your dad…invite them to try Pilates with you. Because trust me, it is harder than it looks, and you are going to absolutely love watching them discover that for themselves.

I’m kicking off my own "Men Try Pilates" challenge and I want you to join me! Stay tuned on my socials, we’ll be documenting their shakes, their groans, and maybe…their newfound respect for your favorite workout (finaly!). Because shakes aside, there are major benefits.

Pilates Benefits and Why He’ll Actually Love It (Seriously)

1. Strength & Control

Pilates works muscles most people ignore, the deep core, stabilizers, and those tiny burn zones you feel for days. It’s strength training, but smarter.

2. Better Posture

Desk job? Heavy lifting? Tight shoulders? Pilates unwinds all of that and brings your body back into alignment.

3. Stress Relief

Focused, intentional movement with breath work = instant stress release.

4. Injury Prevention

It’s one of the top reasons athletes swear by it. Pilates protects your joints and builds balanced, functional strength.

Make It a Thing

Whether it’s a weekly reformer date, a living room mat class, or just a little friendly competition, working out together is a great way to stay motivated and switch up your routine.

Honestly, that’s how I fell in love with Pilates. I tried it all. But nothing made me feel stronger and more connected to my body than Pilates.

Final Thought

Pilates works. For everyone. So next time you roll out your mat or book that reformer class, invite him to join you.

Let him feel the burn, shake it out, and maybe even become your new workout partner.

See you in class (and on socials for the challenge updates!).
