Tasha's 2-week mind & body glow up that changed everything

Tasha's 2-week mind & body glow up that changed everything

So much of my work is about helping others feel better in their bodies, by creating programs, filming workouts, and offering tools to support overall wellness. I truly believe that health comes from within and that once you heal on the inside, the outside will follow. But lately I realized I wasn’t practicing this myself.

For a few reasons, I’ve been feeling a little overwhelmed at the moment and I’ve noticed it in my body. My mornings started with emails instead of movement. I skipped my own workouts, made excuses, and told myself I didn’t have time. My hormones were out of sync. I felt bloated, sluggish, and disconnected from my body. My energy was low, my mood felt off, and physically I just didn’t feel like myself. It was a wake-up call.

I want to be honest with this community. Life isn’t always perfectly balanced. Sometimes we’re more stressed, less motivated, or simply out of sync. Even as a Pilates instructor and someone working in wellness, I don’t always lead perfect, healthy habits 24/7. And that’s okay. But I got to a point where I didn’t feel aligned with what I teach others to do, and I wanted to change that. I knew something needed to shift, not in a dramatic way, but in a way that felt nurturing and sustainable.

So I gave myself two weeks. As you know, I’m a believer that small, consistent steps are the best way to get lasting results. So that’s what I did. Nothing extreme. No pressure. Just a reset, designed for me, by me. And yes, I took a before and after photo—because sometimes it’s powerful to see how good feels.

Here’s what I committed to:

1. 30 minutes of movement a day
A mix of strength, reformer and classic Pilates. As a Pilates instructor, I had a lot of fun with this! I usually spend so much time planning workouts for others that I don’t usually take the time to plan a program for myself. But this time I did, and I can tell you, it really worked! No overthinking. No excuses. Just 30 minutes to move my body and remind myself I’m worth that time.

2. Daily sunshine + steps
Even on my busiest days, I carved out time for a walk outside. Getting sun on my skin and moving my body in nature has made all the difference. It lifts my energy, clears my head, and genuinely shifts how I show up for the rest of the day. The best time for me was first thing in the morning.

3. No alcohol
I don’t drink a lot, but I do drink out of habit, like ordering a glass of wine with dinner without really thinking about it or a margarita on the beach when I’m on vacation. While there’s nothing wrong with that I was curious to see how I would feel, so for these two weeks, I pressed pause. I really started to notice less bloating, clearer skin, better sleep, and a much calmer nervous system. Even on vacation I stuck to it, and I really felt so much better waking up without the brain fog and puffiness.

4. Journaling + meditation (on my own terms)
This part wasn’t perfect. But it didn’t have to be. On the days I did take five minutes to journal or just breathe, I felt it. My thoughts settled. My anxiety softened. It reminded me that even the smallest moments of reflection make a difference.

What changed

When I look at my before and after photo, I can definitely see the change! After 14 days, I feel more toned, yes. But the biggest transformation is actually internal. I feel calm. Present. Energized. My digestion feels more balanced, and my body feels lighter. Not just in weight, but in stress. And the best part is nothing felt restrictive. This wasn’t about cutting things out, it was about choosing to add in what makes me feel good.

I shifted my mindset from “I don’t have time” to “this is how I spend my time.” No matter how I felt during those days, prioritizing myself made a huge difference.

Moving forward

Am I going to do all of this every single day? I’d like to, but if not, that’s ok too! The difference is I’ve built habits I want to come back to. Ones that make me feel good, without stress or pressure.

If you’ve been in a slump, feeling disconnected from your routine or just not like yourself, this is your sign. You don’t need a massive overhaul. You don’t need to wait until Monday. You just need to start. And if you're not sure where to start with movement - we've got you! Try our 7-day challenge to see and feel the difference.

Don’t forget to let me know how you feel after!

Love,

Tasha xx
