Pilates has never been more popular. And with that has come a very clear idea of what “Pilates style” looks like.
That’s not a bad thing at all. But when something becomes this visible, it also starts to evolve.
In 2026, I really believe what people wear to Pilates is shifting. Not away from style, but away from a uniform. The perfectly matched set is giving way to something looser, sportier, and more personal…and I’m here for it.
The influence now comes from vintage sportswear and early-2000s gym culture. Track pants. Logos. Mixed brands. Fewer full sets, more individual pieces.
It reflects how people are using Pilates today. More often and casually. As part of real life, not just a look.
Below are some of the pieces I’ve been seeing on repeat in studios lately.
If you’re wondering what to wear to Pilates right now, this is what’s showing up in studios.

What’s In for Pilates Activewear Trends in 2026
1. Vintage track pants & relaxed sweats
It’s a fact that loose, Adidas-style track pants and baggier sweats are trending. Easy to move, easy to layer, and honestly, more comfortable to put on than tight leggings.

2. Foldover flares & low-rise leggings
Foldover waists are replacing ultra-high compression fits. Flared silhouettes feel softer and more flexible for class.
3. Simple tanks (strappy, V-neck, cami)
Clean tanks make mismatching easy. Strappy details, double straps, and V-necks all work.
4. Visible logos & sproty details
Big logos, numbers on the front, and stripes are all back. It’s giving, I just threw something together.
5. Mismatched sets
Perfectly coordinated outfits aren’t the goal anymore. Mixing brands, colors, and textures feels more current.
6. Layering pieces
Shrugs, cropped zip hoodies, and lightweight layers for before and after class.
What’s On Its Way Out
Style around Pilates is shifting. It fees like a recalibration as the practice becomes part of everyday life.
What people wear to class now feels less like a fixed look and more like personal taste. Relaxed. Sporty. A little undone.
That’s why we’re seeing less of:
- Perfectly coordinated sets
- Matching pastel looks
- Wrap tops styled as the outfit
Instead, the Pilates style in 2026 feels easier and more individual. Clothes that move well and pieces you already love. Outfits that look like you live in them.
Call it less polished. Call it more real. Either way, it feels like where things are heading.
So, what do you think? Are you leaning into this shift?
