There comes a time to bring a fresh style to T — F Studio and that time is now! Especially as I’m pregnant, I’m thrilled to introduce our new instructor, Tashi.
We’ve known each other for over 10 years, and with her Pilates certification and love for the practice, it felt like perfect timing for her to join the team. Tashi specializes in elegant, elongated flows, and you’re going to love them as much as I do.
She’s kicking off with a beginner-friendly, seven-day full-body reset launching February 16th, an effortless flow that lengthens, sculpts, and strengthens while cultivating better movement habits and posture.
Please, join me in giving Tashi the warmest welcome!

Tashi’s Pilates Journey & Teaching Philosophy
TASHA: Welcome to T — F Studio. Let’s start at the beginning, tell us about yourself and how you found Pilates.

TASHI: I’m originally from Buffalo, New York, but I’ve been in L.A. for about 10 years. I moved here for modeling, which meant I was constantly trying different workouts to stay in shape. I tried everything: spin, you name it. I had ClassPass at the time, so I tried a Pilates studio and I was like, "That was all right." And then I tried a class at Natural Pilates, and that's when I was like, "Whoa, this is it!" Literally, I canceled my ClassPass and I ended up getting a membership at the studio because I was like, "It's not enough credits. Like, I got to go to this class like at least twice a week." I was hooked. I got a membership immediately and have been practicing consistently ever since, about eight years now.
TASHA: What were you doing before teaching Pilates?
TASHI: I was modeling full-time, and in 2020 I started content creation, which gave me more control over my schedule. That’s when I finally committed to my Pilates certification. Teaching felt natural to me, and getting certified completely changed how I move with form, breathing, and intention became everything.
TASHA: How would you describe your teaching style?
TASHI: Everything should flow naturally, not jumping around. Modifications are key, and I encourage trying things that push you just a little more. I like my classes to feel like you're challenged, but not like, "Oh, I can't. I cannot go on any longer." I don't like that. I don't want people to feel like they're just like dead after leaving my classes.
TASHI'S PILATES PRO TIP: "Focus on form and breathing, that's where the real results come from. It's not just about getting a sweat in, it's about moving with intention."
Advice for Beginners
TASHA: What would you say to someone who’s nervous to try Pilates?
TASHI: Just try it. Start with a beginner class and don’t push yourself too hard. Learn the basics, get familiar with the language, and give yourself time. Pilates looks intimidating online, but most classes are simple, intentional, and very accessible. Just make are your signing up for the right class and not joining an advanced class right away.
TASHA: Do you consider yourself an intimidating instructor?
TASHI: From the feedback that I've gotten, people feel like I'm very personable and approachable. You know, unless I'm having an off day, maybe my brain's like, you know, sometimes you're just like, I don't know my right from my left, and I forgot a side, and, you know, it happens. It happens. But I feel for the most part, like I try to, you know, build like a nice warm environment where somebody, I've had a lot of returning clients, so I've mastered that.
TASHA: She's very nice. Nice girl. You can sit with us.
TASHI: [laughs]
Work-Life Balance as a Mom
TASHA: You’re also a mom, how do you balance it all?
TASHI: Yes, my son is three. I prioritize being a good mom, and some days that means just showing up for him. Honestly, I’m never fully in balance. My priority is being a good mom. Some days I’m just “mom mode,” and that’s okay. Other days, my son comes with me to events or classes. You know, you just got to roll with the punches as they say, you know.
TASHA: So, do you believe in balance, or do you feel like sometimes some things are more in balance or other things are more of a priority?
TASHI: I feel like I'm never in balance. Like I feel like that, I have to be real. Like, something's always going better than the other, you know what I mean? Or I'm doing more of this than the other. But my priority is always being a good mom no matter what. I can say that is the priority for me. I'm a good mom. My son is happy. He's taken care of. He's just a happy little kid, and that's all I want.
Personal Life & Interests
TASHA: And then tell me about any other hobbies or interests besides Pilates that someone would be surprised to know about you?
TASHI: I'm a very creative person. That's why modeling has always been fun, you're bringing someone's vision to life. I got into photography and love capturing moments, especially for family events. I'm building photo albums for my son so he can look back at moments like his grandparents laughing together. And I love fashion, clothes, shoes, bags. I'm a fashion girl through and through. I was actually voted Best Dressed and Best Smile in high school!
TASHA: Wow.
TASHI: Yeah, and best smile.
TASHA: Where do you, that doesn't surprise me. Where do you think that came from?
TASHI: It's just in me! I grew up with a house full of women. I was raised by my grandparents, and my aunts were like older sisters. They always looked so good, and I wanted to be like them. When it was my turn to pick outfits, I remember being obsessed with the Mary-Kate and Ashley line at Walmart.
TASHA: And do you think being raised by women has influenced you as a mom?
TASHI: Absolutely. I'm extremely empathetic, almost to a fault sometimes. I can sense when something's off with someone. My family is very emotional about everything, super excited and loud, or really mad and loud. My husband's family is the opposite, quiet and not as expressive, so that was funny early in our relationship! But it's shaped me in the best ways. I think men who grow up in a house full of women are better men, they just understand women more.
Why Tashi Joined T — F Studio
TASHA: So, let's dive into your program. You've now joined us at T — F Studio, which is exciting. It's another risk. It's another uncomfortable move, I suppose, right? To now start filming on camera, doing something you maybe haven't done before. So, what would you say, what made you take this risk? Like what made you come to this position, aside from me reaching out to you?
TASHI: Honestly, you reaching out made all the difference. I have so much respect for what you've built, it's not easy. When we ran into each other, I was trying to figure out my next step with Pilates. I love teaching, but I wanted to share it on a bigger scale. Seeing you that day felt like a sign, you didn't even know I was teaching! When you reached out, it just clicked. I had insecurities like, "Can I film, talk, and work out all at the same time?" It's a lot of work! But I'm so grateful we randomly saw each other. I'm excited for this journey.
What's Coming: The 7-Day Reset Program

TASHA: Diving into your program. This was not me. This is Tashi's creation, and I would love to know how you came up with the concept, what people can expect, and why you wanted to do the seven-day reset.
TASHI: Great question! This was new for me, but I've been writing programs since I started teaching. With a seven-day program, all the days have to make sense together, it's people's introduction to me and my style.
I wanted to create a reset with basic movements that are quietly challenging. You can make them harder by adding props or reps, but the focus is on being more aware of how we're moving. A lot of times, people do the movements but aren't getting the most out of them. Small changes can make a huge difference. My thing is: slow down and actually feel it in your body.
It's a preview of what's to come in my T — F Studio library. The classes aren't super long, just the right amount. You'll feel it, but you'll be ready for the next day, I don't want you so torn up you can't continue! It's quietly challenging. The next day you'll be like, "Oh, I feel the obliques!"
TASHA: And you're saying it's good for all levels?
TASHI: Yes, it's good for all levels. If you're advanced, add props like weights or booty bands. If you're a beginner, just follow the movements as I teach them, start slow and basic.
TASHA: And do you have a favorite prop?
TASHI: I love the ball! I don't use it much in this challenge, but now that I'm more comfortable teaching on camera, I'm incorporating it more. You can work upper body, deep core, and glutes with it. The key is moving with intention, don't just hold the ball, squeeze it!
TASHA: I think that's my favorite, too. It's so good. And you can deflate it into a suitcase for travel.
TASHA: So, you would say mind to muscle connection is important for people.
TASHI: Yes! And that's why instructors should still take classes and practice. When I write a class, I get up and try it out so I can really describe the feeling to clients, like "press the palms into the ball" or "press the thighs into the ball." You need to feel it too.
TASHA: Absolutely. And the program is mat. But you also teach Reformer.
TASHI: Reformer is my first Pilates love! I'm working on some Reformer programs, stay tuned. After a Reformer class, I can just float around for the rest of the day. Some people find it intimidating, but it's great. I think it's ideal to do mat once or twice a week and Reformer once or twice a week for tension, resistance, and muscle building.
TASHI: Everybody can do something for seven days! And when you do something consistently, it builds a good habit. After seven days, you'll start to miss it. It creates good moving habits, consistency, and pushes you to try new things. Building better habits is my mantra this year: cooking more at home, moving more, all of it.
TASHA: Thank you for this conversation! I'm so excited for everyone to get to know you better. If anyone has questions, reach out to Tashi on Instagram. Welcome to T — F Studio!
